Willian netted a late equaliser as Chelsea came from behind to ensure a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.
Liverpool managed to find the breakthrough in the 65th minute when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain poked the ball into the path of ex-Chelsea man Mohamed Salah, who slotted calmly past Thibaut Courtois.
But Willian had the final say in the 85th minute, with what appeared to be a cross from the Brazil international looping over Simon Mignolet and into the back of the net.
The result sees Chelsea remain in third and Liverpool in fifth in the Premier League table.
Manchester United needed a Lewis Dunk own goal to seal a 1-0 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford, which closes the gap on league leaders Manchester City to five points.
United could have opened the scoring just before the break but Maty Ryan was on hand to deny them, making close-range saves to thwart both Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba.
But the hosts found a way through in the 66th minute when Ashley Young saw his effort from the edge of the box deflect off Dunk and beyond Ryan into the back of the net.
Harry Kane rescued a point for Tottenham as they came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw against managerless West Brom at Wembley.
West Brom stormed into the lead after just four minutes when former Spurs man Jake Livermore played in Salomon Rondon, who shook off Davinson Sanchez before placing the ball past Hugo Lloris.
But after bringing on Fernando Llorente for Jan Vertonghen in the second half, Tottenham eventually found the equaliser in the 74th minute as Kane prodded home Dele Alli’s cross inside the six-yard box.
