Kwesi Appiah pleased with Kotoko trio

Ghana Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah revealed that he was impressed with the three local players he called to his latest Black Stars squad.

Felix Annan, Kwame Bonsu and Amos Frimpong of Asante Kotoko were called by Kwesi Appiah to the National squad for the first time and they all made their debuts against Mauritania on Tuesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Amos Frimpong played full 90 minutes against Mauritania, Kwame Bonsu and Felix Annan came on later in the second half to make sure all Kotoko players marked their National debut.

“They have done well, but you can’t judge a player from just one game. But I think the did well” Kwesi Appiah said.

Local football in Ghana will kick off this weekend and several players will take this opportunity to impress Kwesi Appiah ahead of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
