The 2017/18 Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month nominees have been revealed for March.
CK Akonnor, whose side AshantiGold top the log unbeaten in the opening four matches, leads the pack of three favourites for the award.
Akonnor led his side to three wins and a draw in their four top-flight fixtures last month, with the Miners scoring six times and conceding only twice across those matches.
Akonnor is up against Danish trainer Klavs Rasmussen. The WAFA SC trainer, during the period, masterminded the Academy Boys’ bright start to the new campaign after losing many key players in the off-season.
With two wins, a draw and defeat, WAFA are second on the league table having scored six times but have let in 4 goals.
Completing the shortlist of three is Henry Wellington who ensured his Hearts of Oak bounced back strongly after a stuttering start to their campaign.
The Phobians drew on the road and lost heavily at home in their second game of the season before registering back-to-back victories which has now propelled them to third place. Hearts scored five times and conceded four goals in as many games.
A NASCO 40 inch LED Television set and a trophy are up for grabs by the winner of every Coach of the Month this season.
The Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month for March is expected to be announced latest by Friday April 6.
