“We are going to finish Kariobangi Sharks in Kumasi” – George Amoako

George Amoako laments over inadequate funds amidst CODVID-19 scare

George Amoako the Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko is confident that his boys will finish the job at Kumasi on Saturday when they play Kariobangi Sharks in the CAF Confederation Cup second leg.

Asante Kotoko were criticized heavily for playing defensively against Kariobangi Sharks in Kenya. Head coach CK Akonnor already defended his side claiming it was all in the plan and he is satisfied with the performance his side put out at the Kasarani Stadium.

George Amoako is confident Kotoko will finish the job when Kariobangi Sharks travel to Kumasi for the second leg.

“We knew what we wanted going into the game and we have done that perfectly right,” George Amoako said after the game.

“We told ourselves we shouldn’t lose but if there is any chance for us to win it we take it. But we went into it not to take any goals.”

“We needed to conserve energy to maintain a respectable scoreline and that is exactly what we did. If we had opened up we could have scored them many goals. Look how many tines did they even threaten our goalkeeper.”

“Kumasi people should expect us. We are coming to finish them at home,” he concluded.
