Game week two of the Ghana Premier league kicked off on Saturday as Hearts of Oak hosted Ashanti Gold, while Wa All Stars hosted Ebusua Dwarfs.

Asanti Gold are now league leaders after putting three goals past Hearts of Oak at Cape Coast on Saturday. James Akaminko opened the scoring on the 9th minute and Amos Addai added to their lead after the break, Joseph Esso grabbed one goal for Hearts of Oak but Shafiu Mumuni made sure Ashanti Gold go home with all three points.

Richard Osei Agyemang of Ashanti Gold claimed the man of the match after the game.

Wa All Stars and Ebusua Dwarfs settled for a goalless draw at Malik Jabir Park.

Ashanti Gold are now top of the league after wining their two opening games; last week 1-0 victory against Wa All Stars and Saturday’s 1-3 victory against Hearts of Oak. Hearts of Oak are 10th on the table after grabbing a point from their first game against Eleven Wonders and failing to secure a point against Ashanti Gold.

Wa All stars are 9th on the table after Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Ebusua Dwarfs. Ebusua Dwarfs are 2nd on the table after securing another point on Saturday to add with the one they snatched against Berekum Chelsea on Game week one.
