Exclusive: Ashanti Gold coach comments on Kotoko’s move for club’s trio

Norwegian trainer Kjetil Zachariassen to replace Svetislav Tanasijevic as Ashgold Head Coach

AshantiGold head coach Svetislav Tanasijevic has made it clear that the club isn’t willing to sell talented trio Shafiu Mumuni, James Akaminko and Richard Djodi.

The Serbian revealed while talking to a local radio that the club has no plans of selling the players to Kotoko, claiming that he has a strong and better squad and it isn’t surprising to see interests from Kotoko.

The coach also revealed he has had talks with his boss to tell him how important the players are to the team especially with the Special Competition around the corner.

Kotoko to sign three players from AshantiGold

“I’m surprised Kotoko didn’t ask for eleven players, no player will leave Ashgold. Kotoko want Shafiu, James and Djodi, it is an impossible mission” the Serbian said.

“Ashantigold is now in a better situation and is a better club that’s why they want our players. I talked to my boss and told him what I think, these three players are going nowhere.”
