CAF U20 AFCON: Mali cruise into final after beating Nigeria on penalties

Mali made history after beating Nigeria 4-3 on penalties to reach the U20 Cup of Nations final for the first time in their history.

Nigeria started the game positively with series of attacking runs with the aim of breaking the Mali defence, The Flying Eagles almost took the lead in the first half after hitting the bar. The scoreline remained goalless at half time.

Mali took the lead through Mamadou Traore who drilled a powerful shot past the Nigerian goalkeeper to put his team in front.

Paschal Durugbor grabbed the equalizer for Nigeria in the closing minutes of the second half to send the game into extra time.
