Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has listed Alexis Sanchez as one of the reasons he decided to join the Gunners.
The Frenchman has enjoyed a good start to life in the Premier League, scoring four goals in seven games after joining Arsenal from Ligue 1 club Lyon in the summer.
Lacazette had also been linked with a move to PSG during the summer transfer window, but the striker admitted the prospect of playing with the Chilean was too good to turn down.
“That’s also one of the reasons why I wanted to come to Arsenal – to play with players of [Alexis’] calibre,” Lacazette told Arsenal’s official website.
“Just seeing him in training, I like the way he plays and his mental attitude. His approach makes me want to play alongside him – hopefully for many years.”
Lacazette and Sanchez have played together just twice so far this season, with Arsene Wenger often opting to have one replace the other in substitutions rather than using both at the same time.
