The 2017/18 Ghana Premier League second transfer window opened today – Friday April 27, Footy-Ghana.com understands.
The 16 topflight clubs up and down the country, who had been looking ahead of the in-season player registration window, now have the chance to strengthen their squads with new players they feel can give them that extra edge towards achieving their season targets.
The 2017/18 campaign is six weeks old and almost reaching the halfway stage.
Bottom-placed Wa All Stars are reported to have recalled striker Richard Arthur right after his loan spell in Angola while Eleven Wonders have moved to ward off big boys Hearts of Oak from persuing the services of goalkeeper John Moosie. The Phobians have augmenting their goalkeeping department a top priority.
With just about a month left on his contract, there could be a move for Karela United’s long-serving captain William Opoku Mensah who bagged a sensational hat-trick against giants Hearts of Oak a couple of weeks ago. The month-long window is however expected to witness less activities compared to the one which opened the season.
The second registration window remains opened until Tuesday May 29.
